Ohio State is in the process of revising websites and program materials to accurately reflect compliance with the law. While this work occurs, language referencing protected class status or other activities prohibited by Ohio Senate Bill 1 may still appear in some places. However, all programs and activities are being administered in compliance with federal and state law.

Current Research Description

My research explores the interactions between visual attention, memory, perception, and eye movements. I focus on the coordinate frames of visual representations, as well as how the brain represents object identity and location. Fundamental to my research is the question of visual stability: how our brains create such rich, seamless perceptual experiences from mere snapshots of visual input. We use a variety of tools in the lab, including human psychophysics, gaze-contingent eye-tracking, fMRI, ERP, and TMS.
