“ID factors regulate the ability of Müller glia to become proliferating neurogenic progenitor-like cells” Glia 2024.
Analyses of aggregated single cell RNA-seq libraries of retinas cells indicate that different isoforms of ID transcriptional regulators are dynamically expressed by Müller glia after neuronal damage. We show that ID4 drives the proliferation Müller glia-derived progenitors by suppressing the cell cycle inhibitor p21Cip1, and ID1, ID2 and ID3 suppress the neuronal differentiation of progeny.
